My card craft journey began at an unexpected time in my life. After major I found myself in a period of recovery, searching for something to lift my spirits and keep my hands busy. One day, while watching YouTube, I stumbled across a video of someone trying to use crackle paint on cardstock. I remember thinking they were crazy — but the moment I saw the result, I was hooked.
I had always wanted to be creative, but I could never quite find that spark. I wasn’t confident with colours or patterns, and I couldn’t even draw a straight line with a ruler. Card crafting changed all that. As I experimented with different techniques, I discovered a whole new side of myself. I became confident in combining colours, blending shades, and building beautiful scenes. Each card became a small canvas where I could express myself, and the more I created, the more my confidence grew.
