Three years ago, Card Craft found me. Since then, the journey has been nothing short of rewarding. The people I’ve met, the knowledge I’ve gathered, and the friendships formed along the way have shaped not only my work but the way I see this craft. I can think of no better place to share that journey than here.

A question I’m often asked is where my ideas come from. The answer is simple: the world around me. A cluster of blossoms in the garden, the shifting tones of a landscape, the quiet elegance of a single petal, or the rich colours of an autumn leaf — these small moments speak volumes. I’m constantly looking for ways to translate them into paper, ink, and texture.

For me, card making is deeply tactile. I’m drawn to the way paper can be shaped, layered, embossed, and coloured to create something that feels almost alive. Texture and “temperature” play an important role in my designs — the warmth of gold embossing, the softness of vellum, the gentle lift of layered die cuts.

"What’s on My Desk" is where I’ll share those ideas and insights. Sometimes it will be a project I’m working on — a glimpse into the creative process as it unfolds. Or perhaps a short reflection on a technique, a discovery, or something catching my attention in the wider craft world. And sometimes, simply a quiet thought about the joy of making something by hand.
